As an enthusiastic ten-year-old, Kamiel already enjoyed the crackling wood on a smokey barbecue. He went into marketing for some years, but had this haunting voice in his head that said he had to do something with his passion for grilling.
In 2018, his barbecue shop The Fire Station opened and his popularity spread like wildfire. Perfectly aligning with the 2024 winter theme of Van Dal mannenmode, I put him in front of my lens.
