The Grand Canyon is probably the most famous canyon in the United States. It is located in Northern Arizona and has two parts: the North Rim and the South Rim. Due to dangerous conditions in extreme cold, the North Rim is not accessible in the winter period (October 16th – May 14th). Over millions of years the erosion of the Colorado River has shaped the canyon to what it is today, and it’s still shaping!
